It includes four lesson plans and a slide deck, How we talk about the climate crisis: Ecosystem approaches to health, the climate and narratives. The CoPEH-Canada course and webinar series proposes a list of narrative readings (fiction and poetry). This document provides the books we have used in the course from 2020 to 2024. |

Reflective JournalingThis module (PDF) provides foundational material and lesson plans on integrating reflective journaling into ecosystem approaches to health pedagogy. The Reflective Journal Activity is designed to facilitate students’ understanding, meaning making, and application of ecohealth concepts (the “what, so what, and now what” of ecohealth) in relation to other aspects of a course and their own projects. |
Rich Picture MapsThis module (PDF) provides foundational material and lesson plans on integrating Rich Picture Maps into ecosystem approaches to health pedagogy. A rich picture map is a collection of images composed in a way that tells a multi-layered, complex, visual narrative of an issue, through the lens of a theme within a specific context. The map is collaboratively constructed in small groups. |
